We spent the day quietly at home, enjoying each other's company. And when the day was over, we loaded Jer's things in the car and drove him to his meeting point, where he kissed us goodbye. And while the rest of the world slept, my husband donned a uniform, boarded a plane and left for Afghanistan.
Stay safe, honey. We love you. We'll be waiting for you when you come back home.

I didn't realize he was leaving so soon. I don't know what to say!! I'm sorry that you're going to have to play the role of single mom for a while, but I can't think of anyone who would handle it with more grace and humor than you.
Praying for the three of you.
Jason and I will be praying for ya'll.
Oh, geez, I'm sorry. You'll all get through this, but I know that it will be hard in so many ways. The homecoming will be all the sweeter. Take care.
