Long story short the house was overpriced for the area and due to some poor life choices they were unable to drop the price anywhere near low enough to make it worth our while to buy it rather than get another more reasonably priced house and just remodel. So we're looking again and while we don't expect to find another house already modified to suit our needs, hopefully we'll find one that can easily be converted and that would be better than the apartment in the meantime. The agent and I will be hitting the streets tomorrow; I'll bring along my trusty tape measure and camera and we'll see what we can scrounge up. It's a little (okay, a lot) disappointing that the house didn't work out, but I know that we'll find one that with a little work will be just as fantastic, and at a price that won't make us pinch our pennies every month.
So sorry, folks. No cherry pies for you.
I just checked Connor's temperature; I am sad to say that the little guy spent most of today creating laundry for my mother-in-law to do, as he threw up on nearly every available surface. He's running a fever of 100.1 right now-- just enough for me to know that he's really sick and he's not having a bout of reflux, stress, allergies, etc. He's in bed right now propped up on a wedge which will hopefully help him keep some of his feed down, and I'll keep him hooked to the pump tomorrow on a low rate of flow so that he'll stay hydrated. I may have to switch to putting Pedialyte in the pump if he can't keep the Pediasure down. Pediasure is hard on queasy tummies.
Let's hope he feels better in the morning.

Hope everything works out. Give Connor a big hug and kiss from all of us. Hopefully he will get better soon.
Dang it! I was really hoping ya'll were going to get that house. : ( Hopefully another one will present itself soon. Perhaps sans indoor BBQ.
So sorry about the house! I know how your mind can really work on those things and get your hopes up. No doubt you will find something that will meet your needs (or can be fixed to meet your needs)!
Poor Connor - he really has been having a rough time lately! Hope he is feeling better soon. I do have to say - he is SO cute!
Oh, I hope Connor gets well SOON!
What a bummer about the house. I'm sure you'll find a house that is suitable and is in the right price range soon. Also, maybe the next house with have TWO cherry trees in the backyard. In which case we all expect double the amount of pie in the mail (g).
I'm sorry Connor's sick! I hope he gets to feeling better soon.
And I'm sorry about the house... I wish I could be up there to help you look. You guys are doing a great job with all of this...
I hope you and Jeremy don't get sick!!!
Wish I had a house for you. You have so much on your plate that it just doesn't seem right to have to add that stress too!
I continue to keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. The right home for you is out there, I am positive.
I hope Connor feels better very soon. Those days are no fun for anyone. :-(
You poor thing! I wish a) lived nearby and b) was in good enough shape to come and help out! My little guy who has a g-tube does the whole "I'm going to puke my guts up any time I'm even a little bit sick, yes, even with just a cold" and the Pedialyte on a low flow works wonders. In fact out of my three kids he was the one LEAST sick when everyone had rotovirus one time--the pediatrician said that Pedialyte at 60 ml/hr is as good as IV access barring total gastroparesis (which my guy has once in a blue moon, and which is scary as heck). I'm also sorry to hear about the house. That stinks. Hoping you find something that will work out even better!
Sorry about the house. Well, there was probably something nasty stashed in that secret room behind the lava wall, anyway. A mummy who would curse you for disturbing the gloom of its crypt by making the toilet run endlessly during the wee morning hours.
here's to better place with a cherry and aplle tree and a swing too!
I'm sorry that Connor is sick. Poor little guy. I hope you find another house soon that has everything you want and more.
Please know we are thinking about Connor and we miss him at school! Big hugs to Connor, you and Jeremy of course too!!
